About the Workshops
From 1987 onwards, the Sri Aurobindo Foundation for Integral Education and Research (SAFIER), integral educational wing of Sri Aurobindo Society, has been conducting annual workshops on Integral Education. These workshops are designed for educators, aspiring teachers, and all who wish to explore a holistic and transformative approach to education.
The aim is to introduce the principles of Integral Education as envisioned by Sri Aurobindo and the Mother, and to explore how these principles can be lived and applied in classrooms and beyond. The workshops blend study, dialogue, and experiential learning, creating a space for deep reflection and practical insights.

Glimpse of the Recent Workshop:
Antah-Kamalam (May 16–24, 2025)
The most recent nine-day workshop, Antah-Kamalam, was a transformative journey held at Sharanam Community Centre and Society House, Puducherry. It brought together educators and seekers from diverse backgrounds into a space of shared learning and inner exploration.
Participants engaged in practices of Integral Education that awakened the body, mind, and soul—through yogic exercise, art, storytelling, and immersion in Nature. The workshop emphasized self-awareness as the foundation of true education, leaving participants with not just tools and methods, but a renewed sense of purpose and inner clarity.
As one participant expressed, “It wasn’t the end of a workshop. It was the beginning of a new way of being.”
